Below CGC 9.4 this comic sells for less than a nice dinner, and a CGC 9.8 has brought $5,000. The gap between the top grade and everything else is seven to one, which makes this the sharpest all-or-nothing book on the list.
Strange Tales #115 tells Doctor Strange’s origin, which is not the same as his first appearance five issues earlier. Both are keys, they are worth very different money, and this page starts by separating them.
Incredible Hulk #6 is where Marvel gave up on the character in 1963, and being the last issue of a failed run is exactly what makes it collectable now. The 228 documented sales show a book that has quietly tripled at the low end.
A CGC 7.5 of Adventure Comics #247 sold for $10,456 in 2017, $10,200 in 2018 and $10,260 in 2026. Three sales, nine years, and $256 separating the highest from the lowest. Nothing else on this site has done that.
Showcase #37 is the first Metal Men, and the highest price anybody has ever paid for one in public is $5,040. For a Silver Age first appearance that is remarkable, and the 151 documented sales explain how it stays that way.
A CGC 9.2 of Strange Tales #135 has brought as much as $3,000. A CGC 9.0 has been selling for under $900. Two tenths of a grade split this comic into two completely different markets, and most copies fall on the cheap side.
In 2012 a CGC 9.2 of Tales to Astonish #13 sold for $2,868. By 2022 a CGC 7.5 was bringing $13,812. Nothing about the comic changed in between; a film came out, and this page shows exactly what that did to the numbers.
Almost every high grade on this site has come off its peak since 2022. Incredible Hulk #3 has done the opposite in all four of the grades with enough sales to judge, and it is worth understanding why.
A CGC 9.4 of Flash #123 sold for $23,000 in 2004 and $19,800 in 2022. Six sales, eighteen years, and the grade is worth slightly less than it was. That is almost unheard of on a comic this important.
On Showcase #30 a CGC 8.0 has sold for $3,120 and a CGC 8.5 for $2,040. That inversion is not a data error and it turns up more than once, which tells you something specific about how thin this market is.
